Sharm El Sheikh City of Peace

Sharm El Sheikh was little more than a small fishing village until 1968, when the Egyptian authorities realized how rich this small town was in excellent sandy beaches, beautiful weather, and unusual marine life. Now, the city is one of the most famous tourist destinations on the planet.

It is located in the southern portion of the Sinai Peninsula. There’s lots to do and see in Sharm El Sheikh, from sunbathing to water sports.

Sharm El Sheikh is known as the “City of Peace”; Egyptian Arabic: “Madinet EL- Salam”, referring to the frequent International Peace Conferences hosted there.
